Organic Skim Milk

Organic skim milk and organic whey protein form the basis of HiPP German formulas, with the exception of HiPP special formulas, which are non-organic, and HiPP goat milk formula, which is, of course, based on organic skim goat milk.

In some later-stage and specialty HiPP German formula, the organic skim milk contains organic starch and maltodextrin. This helps improve the texture of the milk as well as making it more creamy and satiating for older babies.

Difference Between HiPP German Stages

European organic formulas like HiPP German most often come in stages. What this means is that there are slight changes in the composition of the formula for different developmental milestones.

Stage PRE or HiPP German Stage 1 formula is infant formula suitable from birth as a complete source of nutrition. The difference between the two is that Stage PRE is lactose only, whereas depending on the product, HiPP Stage 1 may have complimentary carbohydrates like starch or maltodextrin.

HiPP German Stage 2 follow-on formula is for babies from 6+ months and is designed to support a weaning diet; thus, it should be offered alongside solid foods. It contains a higher level of iron compared to HiPP German Stage 1.

HiPP German Stage 3 formula is for babies from 10 or 12 months, depending on the specific HiPP German product.

HiPP German Stage 4 or Stage 1+ is for toddlers 12+ months.

HiPP German Stage 2+ formula is for toddlers from 24 months.

For babies with sensitivities to cow's milk, HiPP German formula based on goat's milk is a great alternative! This organic formula is based on skimmed goat's milk, which naturally contains the gentler A2 milk proteins, making it easier to digest. Importantly, it is not suitable for babies with lactose intolerance or cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA). HiPP Goat formula is offered in HiPP Stage PRE to 3.

HiPP Comfort

HiPP Comfort formula is a soothing solution to common digestive issues. This special formula is uniquely created for the management of flatulence, lactose-related 3-month colic, and constipation.
